Lia Hsu-Rodriguez is a senior at MIT from Mount Pleasant, SC, majoring in Anthropology and Biology and minoring in Health Policy. Eventually, she hopes to work in public and global health policy, focusing on racial and ethnic disparities within healthcare systems. Outside of Mock Trial, Lia's a teaching assistant for Introductory Biology through the MIT Experimental Studies group, a counselor for Camp Kesem at MIT, MIT Medlinks, and is in a sorority. In her free time, she enjoys making and listening to music, baking, and watching too many sitcoms and stand-up comedy specials. This year will be Lia's eighth and final (!) year of mock trial, and she's so excited for another incredible year of community building, tournaments, and begging coaches to let her direct a rhyming witness.
